- Engagement of 5 Consultants (Sports Coach) on a contractual basis for Hockey, Badminton, Basketball, Boxing, and Cricket disciplines at Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP).
- Initial tenure of engagement is 1 year, extendable up to a maximum of 3 years (subject to medical fitness and performance review).
- Monthly remuneration ranges from ₹28,000 to ₹36,000 based on qualifications and achievements in sports.
- Engagement is purely temporary and does not confer any right to regular appointment or associated benefits.
- Consultants must be medically fit and adhere to the upper age limit of 65 years as on 19/08/2026.
🎓 Eligibility Criteria
- Indian nationals with requisite qualifications from a government-recognized university/institute.
- Upper age limit: 64 years as on 19/08/2026 (extendable to 65 years if medically fit).
- Ex-employees of SAIL who opted for voluntary retirement are not eligible.
- Coaching experience of preferably more than 15 years in the respective sports discipline.
- Essential qualifications include:
- Diploma or higher degree in Sports Coaching from Netaji Subhas National Institute of Sports (NSNIS) for ₹28,000/month.
- Medal winner/participation in National sports events representing an Indian state for ₹32,000/month.
- Medal winner/participation in International sports events representing India for ₹36,000/month.
⚙️ Selection Process
- Selection will be through a Walk-in-Interview on 11/09/2026 at Biju Patnaik Hockey Stadium, Rourkela.
- Reporting time: 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM.
- Candidates must bring original certificates/documents for verification.
- Selection is subject to medical fitness.
