Koppal District Urban Development Cell Pourakarmika Recruitment 2026-27

- Recruitment for 48 direct-payment Pourakarmika (Municipal Sanitation Worker) posts across two municipal councils in Koppal district, Karnataka.
- Positions are temporary in nature and paid on an honorarium (Nera Paavati) basis.
- No formal educational qualification is required, but candidates must be fluent in Kannada.
- 17 posts in Nagarasabhe Koppal and 31 posts in Nagarasabhe Gangavati, with 6 posts reserved under the Manual Scavengers Act (2 in Koppal, 4 in Gangavati).
- Applications accepted offline only through the concerned Nagarasabhe office.

- No formal educational qualification required.
- Must be able to speak Kannada fluently.
- Must be an Indian citizen.
- Age limit: Minimum 18 years and maximum 50 years as of 21.09.2026 (no age relaxation).
- Age proof must be substantiated with valid documents (e.g., educational certificates, birth certificates).

- Scrutiny and priority-based selection (no written exam or interview).
- Priority 1: Candidates with at least one year of prior service as Pourakarmika, Loader, UGD Helper, or Cleaner in the district’s local bodies, ranked by seniority. Proof required: ESI/PF salary records, bank passbooks, or attendance/muster rolls.
- Priority 2: Family members (spouse, parents, or children) of Pourakarmikas who died while performing COVID-19-related sanitation duties or in service due to other causes.
- Priority 3: Candidates with at least one year of prior local-body work experience in allied roles (e.g., Loaders, UGD Helpers, Cleaners, waste segregation workers, or public toilet cleaning staff).
- Priority 4: 10% reservation for legal heirs (spouse, parents, or children) of persons who died under circumstances covered by the Manual Scavengers Act.
- After exhausting eligible candidates under Priorities 1–4, remaining vacancies may be filled from other applicants as per procedure.
- Final selection rests with the Chairman of the Direct Appointment Authority and Deputy Commissioner, Koppal, in consultation with the selection committee.
