Research Associate in Climate Adaptation and Reservoir Research

- Project-based appointment under the research project 'AdaptAR: Climate Adaptation through Artificial Intelligence in the Himalayas'.
- The role involves mapping institutions and governance involved in water governance, climate change adaptation, and reservoir-related interventions in India.
- Research will focus on national, federal, and district-level institutions, governance mechanisms, and decision-making processes.
- Collaboration with Dr. Anshu Ogale, School of Public Policy, IIT Delhi, and researchers from King’s College London.
- Contribute to qualitative research through document review, stakeholder identification, and semi-structured interviews with government officials, experts, and other stakeholders.
- Support strategic stakeholder engagement, including meetings, workshops, and managing qualitative research data.
- Contribute to research outputs such as institutional maps, analytical reports, academic papers, and policy briefs.
- Support field research in Ladakh, Mustang (Nepal), and Dehradun as required by the project.

- A postgraduate degree with first-class in Public Policy, Development Studies, Geography, Sociology, Political Science, Environmental Studies, or closely related disciplines.
- Common standards experience with qualitative research methods, particularly content analysis and/or structural analysis.
- Ability to independently conduct literature reviews, policy documentation analysis, and qualitative data collection.
- Good written and spoken English skills.
- Willingness to undertake fieldwork and interact with government institutions and other stakeholders.
