- For Research Associateship (RA): Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Chemistry or relevant discipline from a recognized university.
- For Junior Research Fellowship (JRF): Postgraduate degree in Chemistry/Material Science/Polymer Science/Chemical Engineering/Technology/Material Science & Engineering/Polymer Science or Engineering or Technology with first division and NET qualification.
- OR Graduate degree in B.E./B.Tech. in relevant discipline with first division and NET/GATE qualification.
- OR Postgraduate degree in M.E./M.Tech. in relevant discipline with first division at both graduate and postgraduate levels.
- Maximum age limit: 35 years for RA and 28 years for JRF as of the interview date.
- Age relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates (excluding creamy layer OBC).
