📋 Job Description

Recruitment for a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position under the project titled 'Futuristic risk assessment of temperature-humidity extremes due to climate change on human well-being and energy demand in the Indian sub-continent'.
The role involves research in climate change, temperature-humidity extremes, human well-being, and energy demand modeling.
Position is based at the School of Interdisciplinary Studies and Sustainability, IIT Guwahati.
Online interview scheduled for 06 August 2026.
Project duration: 11 months.

✅ Eligibility Criteria

Post Graduate degree in Water Resources Engineering, Atmospheric Science, Energy, or a related field.
Graduate degree in any professional course selected through GATE or National Eligibility Test (CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship/Assistant Professorship).
Alternatively, selection through national-level examinations conducted by Central Government departments and agencies such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IISc, IISER, etc.
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in Machine Learning, Remote Sensing, and Climate Change research.
