- Masterβs degree in the concerned/relevant/allied subject with a minimum of 55% marks (or equivalent grade) from an Indian University or an accredited foreign University.
- Candidates must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC or CSIR, unless exempted as per UGC regulations.
- Exemption from NET is granted to candidates with a Ph.D. degree from a top 500 ranked global university (QS, THE, or ARWU) or those who meet specific UGC Ph.D. regulations (e.g., M.Phil./Ph.D. holders registered before July 11, 2009).
- Relaxation of 5% in marks for SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/PwBD candidates in Masterβs degree.
