Anganwadi Sevika (Urdu) and Anganwadi Helper (Marathi/Urdu) Recruitment 2026

- Recruitment for Anganwadi Sevika (Urdu) and Anganwadi Helper (Marathi/Urdu) positions under the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) scheme in Amravati city.
- Anganwadi Sevika is responsible for delivering nutrition, pre-school education, immunization, health check-ups, and referral services to children aged 0-6 years.
- Anganwadi Helper assists the Sevika in daily operations, including opening the Anganwadi, maintaining cleanliness, fetching water, and managing beneficiary records.
- Positions are contractual with remuneration as per government norms.

- Minimum educational qualification: 12th pass (State Board or equivalent).
- For Urdu language positions, proficiency in Urdu (reading and writing) is mandatory.
- For Marathi language positions, proficiency in Marathi is mandatory.
- Applicants must be permanent residents of Amravati city (local domicile proof required).
- Age limit: 18 to 35 years as of 31-08-2026 (relaxation up to 40 years for widowed candidates).
- Must have at least two living children (strictly enforced; additional children may lead to disqualification or termination).
- Candidates must declare their family details accurately, including the number of living children.

- Selection is based on a merit list prepared from academic qualifications (80% weightage) and additional points for reserved categories, widowed candidates, and experience (20% weightage).
- Academic qualifications are scored as follows: 80%+ = 60 marks, 70.01-80% = 55 marks, 60.01-70% = 50 marks, 50.01-60% = 45 marks, 40-50% = 40 marks, below 40% = 35 marks.
- Additional points: Widowed candidates = 10 marks, SC/ST = 5 marks, OBC/NT/SBC/EWS = 3 marks, experience in ICDS = 2 marks.
- Final merit list will be displayed on the notice board within 15 days of the last application date.
- Candidates can raise objections within 10 days of the merit list publication.
- Appeals against the merit list can be submitted to the Deputy Director, Women and Child Development Department, Amravati within 30 days of the merit list publication.
