• Postgraduate degree in Social Science with a minimum of 55% marks, OR
• M.Ed degree with a minimum of 55% marks.
- PhD Requirement:
• Candidates with a PhD degree are exempted from clearing the National Eligibility Test (NET).
- NET Requirement:
• Candidates without a PhD must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC.
- Equivalency:
• Candidates with degrees from universities outside Kerala must produce an Equivalency Certificate issued by the University of Calicut.
