Candidates must hold a M.E./M.Tech./B.Tech./M.Sc. degree in ECE/EIE/Material Science/Nanotechnology/Physics or equivalent allied subjects.
Minimum 60% marks for General/OBC candidates (55% for SC/ST/PH) in the qualifying degree from a UGC recognized university/institute.
Candidates from autonomous bodies like NIPER/IITs/IISER/NITs/IIITs are also eligible.
GATE/CSIR/UGC NET qualification is desirable but not mandatory for candidates with first-class ME/M.Tech/MS from central government institutes (IITs, IISc, IISERs, DRDO, DST, DAE, etc.).
For candidates without GATE/NET, a CGPA of 6.5 or above in ME/M.Tech/MS is required if class/division is not available.
Upper age limit is 32 years as of the application deadline, with relaxations applicable as per government/funding agency norms for SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/PH candidates and experienced candidates/women candidates.
