- Candidates must hold an M.E./M.Tech. (1st class) in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, or a relevant field, completed not earlier than 3 years from the date of application.
- OR, candidates must possess an M.Sc. (minimum 55% marks) in Chemistry, Chemical Science, Physics, Materials Science, or a relevant field, completed not earlier than 3 years from the date of application.
- Degrees must be from a recognized university or institution.
