Senior Associate Consultant (AI/ML) on Contract Basis

Engagement of a Senior Associate Consultant (Grade-I) in the IT Division at TRAI Headquarters, New Delhi.
Role involves developing, deploying, and maintaining AI/ML models for regulatory compliance and data analysis.
Responsibilities include integrating domain knowledge into training datasets, implementing explainable AI (XAI) for regulatory reports, and building TRAI-specific AI/ML use cases.
Collaboration with cross-functional teams to support regulatory compliance and data-driven decision-making.
Opportunity to contribute to national and international workshops/conferences on AI/ML topics.
Contract-based engagement for a fixed term with potential for extension based on performance and organizational needs.

Indian citizens below 35 years of age as on the date of the vacancy circular (03.08.2026).
Educational qualification: B.Tech/B.E. in Electronics/Telecommunication/Electrical and Electronics/Information Technology/Computers or MCA in Computers or M.Tech in Electronics/Telecommunication/Computers/Information Technology or M.Sc. in Statistics.
Essential programming skills: Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, Scala, or Julia.
Minimum 4+ years of post-qualification experience in AI/ML domain.
Desirable certifications: Certified Data Scientist, Certified AI Engineer, or similar AI/ML certifications.
Desirable domain expertise: Telecom, finance, or economics.
Desirable cloud platform experience: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Experience with AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-Learn, or Hugging Face Transformers.
