- APAR Grading: Minimum ‘Good’ grading in APARs for the last 5 years (2020–2025).
- Disciplinary Record: No major/minor penalty imposed in the last 10 years. Disciplinary/vigilance cases must be disclosed.

- Selection Criteria: Merit-based on APARs/ACRs grading (minimum ‘Good’).
- No Written Test/Interview: Selection purely based on merit and eligibility criteria.
- Forwarding Authority: Applications must be forwarded through proper channels by the respective Port Authority.
