- Exemptions: Blind persons, riot/terrorist-affected persons, and Sweeper-post appointees do not require Punjabi subject.
- Mandatory qualifying Punjabi language test equivalent to Matriculation standard with minimum 50% marks.
- Minimum age: 18 years as on 01 January 2026.
- Maximum age: 37 years for General category; relaxations up to 47 years for reserved categories (SC, BC, Ex-Servicemen, Divyang, etc.).
