Junior Associate (Customer Support & Sales) - Special Recruitment Drive for SC/ST/OBC Backlog Vacancies

Recruitment of Junior Associates (Customer Support & Sales) in clerical cadre under a special drive for SC/ST/OBC backlog vacancies.
Positions are available across multiple states and union territories in India.
Candidates must be proficient in the specified local language of the state/UT they apply for.
No inter-circle or inter-state transfer provisions for selected candidates.
Limited intra-state transfers permitted between specific circles in Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra only.

Indian citizens only.
Age limit: 20 to 28 years as on 01.04.2026 (born between 02.04.1998 and 01.04.2006).
Age relaxation: 3 years for OBC, 5 years for SC/ST, 7 years for widows/divorced women, and additional relaxations for PwBD and ex-servicemen as per government norms.
Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university or equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government.
Candidates in the final year of graduation may apply provisionally, but must produce proof of passing before 31.12.2026.
Proficiency in the specified local language of the applied state/UT is mandatory.
Candidates working in SBI’s clerical cadre or those who resigned from SBI’s clerical cadre are ineligible.
No adverse reports regarding character, antecedents, or moral turpitude.
OBC candidates must submit a non-creamy layer certificate issued on or after 01.04.2026.
SC/ST candidates must submit caste certificates in the prescribed format during document verification.

Selection is based on three phases: Preliminary Examination, Main Examination, and Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT).
Preliminary Examination: Online objective test with 100 marks, 1-hour duration, covering English Language, Numerical Ability, and Reasoning Ability.
Main Examination: Online objective test with 200 marks, 2 hours 40 minutes duration, covering General/Financial Awareness, General English, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude.
Negative marking: 1/4th of the marks assigned for each wrong answer in objective tests.
Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT): Conducted for candidates who do not have 10th or 12th standard mark sheets in the specified local language. The test includes non-verbal and verbal sections with objective and subjective questions.
Merit list is drawn state-wise and category-wise based on Main Examination scores.
Provisional selection is subject to qualifying the Local Language Proficiency Test.
Trained apprentices of SBI are awarded 2.5% bonus marks in the Main Examination if they meet specified criteria.
Waitlist of up to 50% of vacancies (state-category-wise) is maintained for one year.

All categories (General, OBC, SC, ST, EWS) are eligible as per government reservation norms.

Scanned photograph, signature, left-hand thumb impression, and hand-written declaration as per guidelines.
10th or 12th standard mark sheet/certificate (if applicable) for local language proficiency exemption.
Caste certificate (for SC/ST/OBC candidates) in the prescribed format.
Disability certificate (for PwBD candidates) issued by a competent medical authority.
Ex-servicemen certificate (for ex-servicemen candidates) in the prescribed format.
Discharge certificate/booklet (for ex-servicemen candidates).
ID proof (Aadhar, PAN, Passport, Voter ID, Driving License, etc.) in original and self-attested photocopy.
Two additional passport-sized photographs (same as uploaded in the application).

No application fee for SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen/Disabled Ex-Servicemen candidates.
Rs. 750 for OBC candidates (non-refundable).
Fee once paid is non-refundable and cannot be reserved for other exams.
