Deputy Director on Deputation Basis

- The Sports Authority of India (SAI) invites applications for the post of Deputy Director on deputation basis for a period of two years, extendable up to one year further, subject to requirement and vacancy availability.
- The Deputy Director will function as a Section Head, assisting and reporting to the Divisional Head in sports administration, policy implementation, and program management.
- Responsibilities include overall supervision, coordination, and management of assigned divisions/centres, ensuring compliance with SAI schemes and Government of India guidelines.
- The role involves maintaining athlete/personnel data, overseeing administrative and financial matters, conducting inspections, inter-divisional coordination, and supporting decision-making processes.
- The place of posting will be on an All-India basis in centres where SAI schemes are implemented.

- Eligible Officers: Officers working under Central/State Governments or Union Territory Administrations (including attached/subordinate officers).
- Post Requirement: Must hold an analogous post as Deputy Director (Level-11) or equivalent in their parent cadre/department OR be a Level-11 officer with at least 5 years of regular service in Pay Level-10 (Rs. 56,100–17,7500).
- Maximum Age Limit: 56 years as of the opening date of receipt of applications (21-10-2026).
- Deputation Terms: Follow standard Terms and Conditions on deputation as per DoP&T OM No. 06/08/2009, dated 17/06/2010 (amended time to time).

- Candidates fulfilling eligibility criteria will be called for an interview.
- Selection will be based on a merit list prepared by the Selection Committee by the Competent Authority.

- Application in the prescribed format (Annexure-I) duly completed, signed by the candidate, and countersigned with a seal by the Cadre/Appointing Authority.
- Attested copies of ACRs/APARs for the last 5 years (each page attested with seal by an officer of rank Under Secretary to the Government of India or above).
- Integrity Certificate and Vigilance Clearance from the Competent Authority.
- Minor Penalty Certificate for the last 5 years of service.
- Certificate confirming the correctness of the particulars furnished as per service records.
- Cadre Clearance Certificate from the parent organization.
- Confidential Reports/APARs of the last five years of the officer.
- Vigilance Clearance from the Competent Authority.
