- Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology, Surat (SVNIT) has announced recruitment for 5 Professor posts across 12 departments.

- The selected candidates will be appointed on probation for a period of one year at Pay Level 14A (₹159,100 to ₹220,200 per month).

- Qualification: A Ph.D. in the relevant discipline with a first class (or at least 6.5 CGPA on a 10-point scale or 60% marks in aggregate) in all preceding degrees from Bachelor’s onwards.
- Experience: Experience at the level of Associate Professor with AGP ₹9,000 and/or ₹9,500 (Pay Level 13A1 and/or 13A2) is preferred.
- Additional Experience: More than six months of experience in a regular position in a CFTI/Institute of national importance/State Government-funded institute/University/Centrally funded lab (e.g., CSIR, DRDO, DAE, DBT, DST, DSIR, ISRO, MOCIT, MOEF, MNRE, MOP, MOWR, NPL) or industrial experience in PSU/autonomous organization/private industry with turnover of more than ₹500 crores.
- Foreign Degrees: Accepted if from national universities or institutions ranked up to 500 in QS/THE World Rankings.
- Inbreeding Rule: Candidates with a Ph.D. from SVNIT Surat must have a minimum gap of three years between Ph.D. notification and the application deadline (not applicable to existing SVNIT faculty).
- All degrees must be from an Institute/University recognized by UGC, AICTE, AIU, or GOI.
