RITES Assistant Manager (Mechanical) Recruitment 2026

- Recruitment drive by RITES Limited, a Navratna Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Railways.
- 24 vacancies for the post of Assistant Manager (Mechanical) on a regular basis.
- Pay scale: ₹40,000–1,40,000 with additional allowances like DA, HRA, and performance-related pay.
- Suitable for candidates with locomotor disabilities (OA, OL, OAL, BL, Leprosy Cured, Acid Attack Victims).
- Appointment subject to medical fitness as per RITES standards.

- Full-time Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering/Technology or related disciplines (e.g., Production, Manufacturing, Mechatronics, Automobile).
- Degree must be recognized by AICTE or equivalent (e.g., Institution of Engineers (India) Sections A & B).
- Minimum 60% marks for UR/EWS candidates (50% for SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/PwBD candidates).
- Minimum 2 years of post-qualification experience in production, mechanical maintenance, or related mechanical engineering fields.
- Experience from apprenticeship training under the Apprenticeship Act, 1961, is considered.
- Training, internship, teaching, academic work, fellowship, or Ph.D. research experience is not counted.
- Upper age limit: 32 years as on 17 August 2026 (relaxations applicable for reserved categories).

- Selection involves three stages: Written Test, Document Scrutiny, and Interview.
- Written Test: 125 objective-type questions (1 mark each), 2.5 hours duration, no negative marking.
- Minimum 50% marks required for UR/EWS candidates (45% for SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/PwBD candidates) in the written test.
- PwBD candidates eligible for compensatory time of 50 minutes.
- Document Scrutiny: Shortlisted candidates based on written test results undergo document verification.
- Interview: Conducted in a 1:6 ratio to the number of vacancies. Weightage: Written Test (60%), Interview (40%).
- Minimum 60% marks required in the interview for UR/EWS candidates (50% for SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/PwBD candidates).
- Candidates can appear in Hindi or English for the selection process.

- High School certificate for proof of Date of Birth.
- Certificates and mark sheets of all academic/professional qualifications (10th, 12th, Diploma, Graduation, Post-Graduation).
- Percentage conversion document issued by the University/Institute (if applicable).
- Caste certificate (EWS/SC/ST/OBC-NCL) in the prescribed Government of India format.
- Proof of Identity & Address (Passport, Voter ID, Driving License, Aadhaar Card, etc.).
- PAN Card.
- Proof of experience (offer letter, joining order, relieving letter, service certificate, pay slips, etc.).
- PwBD Certificate (if applicable).
- Any other document supporting the candidature.

- ₹600 plus applicable taxes for General/OBC candidates.
- ₹300 plus applicable taxes for EWS/SC/ST/PwBD candidates.
- Fee paid online only; no other mode accepted.
- SC/ST/PwBD candidates applying against unreserved posts must pay the full fee (refunded after document scrutiny).
