Stenographer Grade-III Recruitment 2026

- Recruitment drive for 21 Stenographer Grade-III posts in Bengaluru Rural District Court.
- Includes 4 backlog posts and 17 new posts as per reservation categories.
- Online application window: 17 August 2026 to 15 September 2026 (until 11:59 PM).
- Selected candidates will be on probation for 2 years with mandatory departmental exams.
- Salary range: ₹44,425 to ₹83,700 with annual increments as per pay scale.
- Candidates must pass Kannada language, computer literacy, and departmental exams during probation.

- Minimum age: 18 years as of the last date of application.
- Maximum age: 35 years (General), 38 years (Category 2A/2B/3A/3B), 40 years (SC/ST/Category-1), with a one-time 5-year relaxation for all categories.
- Educational qualification: Passed 2nd PUC (12th standard) or equivalent, or 3-year Diploma in Commercial Practice.
- Must possess Senior Grade Shorthand and Typewriting qualifications in both Kannada and English.
- Basic computer knowledge relevant to office work is mandatory.
- Additional age relaxation available for government employees, widows, ex-servicemen, and persons with disabilities as per Karnataka Civil Services Rules.

- Selection involves a shorthand and typing skill test in Kannada and English.
- Candidates must dictate a passage at 120 words per minute for 5 minutes each in Kannada and English.
- Transcription must be completed within 45 minutes using a computer.
- Minimum 50 marks required in each language (Kannada and English) to qualify the skill test.
- Shortlisted candidates (top 5 per vacancy) will undergo document verification/interview.
- Final selection based on combined marks from skill test and interview.

- General/Unreserved Category: ₹200.
- Category 2A/2B/3A/3B: ₹100.
- SC, ST, Category-1, and Persons with Disabilities: Exempted (No Fee).
- Fee must be paid online via State Bank Collect using Net Banking, Credit/Debit Card, UPI, or QR Code.
