Assistant Lecturer (Contractual Basis)

- Recruitment for 03 contractual positions of Assistant Lecturer at PIHMCT, sponsored by the Government of India (Ministry of Tourism) and Government of Puducherry.
- Monthly consolidated pay of Rs. 35,000 for the selected candidates.

- For Category A: Post Graduate in Hospitality/Tourism or MBA from a recognized university/institute, AND a full-time degree or 3-year diploma in Hotel Administration/Hospitality Management/Hotel Management/Hospitality Administration/Culinary Arts/Culinary Science with minimum 55% aggregate marks.
- For Category A: Qualification must be from NCHMCT, NCHMCT-affiliated institute, AICTE-approved institute, State Board of Technical Education-approved institute, UGC-recognized university-affiliated institute, Central/State/Deemed University recognized by UGC, or equivalent foreign degree recognized by AIU.
- For Category B: Full-time Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality/Hotel Administration/Hotel Management/Culinary Arts with minimum 55% aggregate marks and at least 2 years of hospitality industry experience.
- For Category B: Must have qualified NHTET with prescribed percentage conducted by NCHMCT.
- Age limit: Not exceeding 35 years as on 01.07.2026 (age relaxation as per government norms applicable for reserved categories).
- Desirable for Category A: PhD degree or 6 months of working experience in a 3-star or above category hotel.
- For Category A: Candidates with PhD in Hospitality-related subjects from a recognized university/institute are exempt from NHTET qualification.
- Experience as a full-time teacher at UG and above level in Hospitality on a contractual basis is valid for eligibility.

- Selection will be based on a Skill Test as prescribed by NCHMCT, with NHTET weightage added.
- Final selection is subject to verification of documents and eligibility criteria.
