Recruitment Against Cultural Quota (Sitar & Tabla) for North Central Railway 2026-27

- Recruitment for two cultural posts (Sitar and Tabla) under Cultural Quota for the year 2026-27 in North Central Railway.
- Selected candidates will be posted anywhere in North Central Railway as per administrative requirements.
- Candidates may be utilized for conducting cultural activities/events whenever required.
- Posts are in Pay Matrix Level-2 with Grade Pay of Rs. 1900/-.
- Initial appointment emoluments will be minimum pay of the Level plus other admissible allowances.

- Minimum educational qualification: Intermediate (10+2) or equivalent with 50% aggregate marks from a recognized Board/University. (50% condition relaxed for SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen/PwBD and candidates with higher qualifications like Graduation/Post Graduation).
- OR Matriculation (10th) from a recognized Board plus ITI approved by NCVT/SCVT.
- Possession of degree/diploma/certificate in the specified cultural stream (Sitar/Tabla) from a Government Recognized Institution is mandatory.
- Desirable: Experience in the relevant field, performances on AIR/Doordarshan, and prizes won at National level.
- Age limit: 18 to 30 years as on 01.01.2027 (born between 01.01.1997 and 01.01.2009).
- Age relaxation applicable for reserved categories (OBC: 3 years, SC/ST: 5 years, PwBD: 10 years, Ex-Servicemen: service rendered + 3 years, etc.).

- Selection will be based on a Written Test (50 marks) and Assessment of Talent (50 marks).
- Written Test: 50 objective-type questions (General Awareness, Mathematics, General Intelligence, Reasoning, and Cultural Activities) in Hindi & English. Negative marking: 1/3rd marks deducted for each wrong answer. Duration: 60 minutes.
- Assessment of Talent: Practical demonstration (35 marks) and Testimonials/Prizes (15 marks).
- Candidates must qualify in both Written Test and Talent Assessment to be considered for final selection.

All (General, OBC, SC, ST, EWS, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen, Minorities)

- Scanned copy of Date of Birth proof (10th/Matriculation Certificate/Birth Certificate).
- Scanned copy of educational qualification certificate (Intermediate/10th + ITI or equivalent).
- Scanned copy of cultural qualification certificate (degree/diploma/certificate in Sitar/Tabla from Government Recognized Institution).
- Caste certificate (for SC/ST/OBC) in prescribed format issued by competent authority.
- Annexure-G (duly filled and signed) for details of awards/prizes won at National/State/other levels.
- No Objection Certificate (NOC) for serving Railway staff.
- EBC certificate (if applicable) for Economically Backward Classes.
- Minority community declaration affidavit (if claiming fee exemption).
- Ex-Servicemen/PwBD certificates (if applicable).

- General/OBC/Other categories: Rs. 500/- (refundable Rs. 400/- after appearing in written exam, subject to bank charges).
- SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen/PwBD/Transgender/Female/Minorities/EBC: Rs. 250/- (refundable Rs. 250/- after appearing in written exam, subject to bank charges).
- Fee payment must be done online via Credit/Debit Card, UPI, or Internet Banking.
