- Temporary/contractual position under the Technology Development (TD) Project titled 'AI-CPS Framework for Intelligent River Sand Mining in Mizoram'.
- Project funded by TEXMiN - NIT Mizoram Mining CPS Centre of Excellence under Technology Development (TD) Program-2076.
- Tenure of the project: 18 months.
- Principal Investigator: Dr. F. Lalchhandama, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, NIT Mizoram.
- Co-Principal Investigator: Dr. C. Lalengmawia, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, NIT Mizoram.
- Job location: National Institute of Technology Mizoram, Chaltlang, Aizawl, with periodic field visits to project sites in Aizawl and neighboring districts.
- Key responsibilities include deployment and maintenance of IoT sensor networks, dataset collection and curation, ML model development, GIS dashboard development, and wearable Worker Safety Intelligence node development.
🎓 Eligibility Criteria
- BE/B.Tech (or equivalent) in Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or any related discipline, preferably with a valid GATE score.
- OR Master degree in Technology (M.Tech) or Master degree in Engineering (M.E) in CSE/IT, ECE, or any related discipline as per DST/SERB norms for JRF in Engineering.
- Desirable skills: Working knowledge of Python and ML frameworks (PyTorch/TensorFlow/scikit-learn/XGBoost), hands-on experience with IoT/embedded systems (Raspberry Pi, Arduino, LoRa-based communication), familiarity with GIS tools (QGIS, Leaflet.js), and web/database backends (Flask, PostGIS).
⚙️ Selection Process
- Shortlisted candidates will be called for a walk-in interview/online interview before a duly constituted Selection Committee.
- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
- The date, time, and mode of the interview will be communicated to shortlisted candidates by email.
- Quarterly reviews of the selected candidate's performance will be conducted.
- If performance is deemed unsuitable at any time, the appointment shall be terminated, and no fellowship will be granted.
