Technician Grade-A (Electronics / Instrumentation)

- Recruitment for the post of Technician Grade-A (Electronics/Instrumentation) under the Ministry of Earth Sciences, Government of India.
- Job involves industrial panel wiring, PCB soldering, assembly/testing of electronic instruments, sensor calibration, and field testing of systems on ships/offshore platforms.
- Responsibilities include maintenance of power supply and instrumentation lab equipment, participation in sea trials, offshore system deployments, and survey activities.
- Selected candidates may be posted anywhere in India at NIOT centers or project sites.

- Essential: 10th Class Pass (Secondary/Matric) from a recognized board and ITI course in Electronics/Instrumentation approved by NCVT or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of computers is required.
- Desirable: 2 years of experience in relevant fields such as industrial panel wiring, PCB assembly, electronic instrument handling, or sensor calibration.

- Preliminary screening based on essential qualifications, age, completeness of application, and desirable experience.
- Shortlisted candidates will be called for Trade/Written Test and Skill Test.
- Final selection is based on merit in the Trade/Written Test among those who qualify the Skill Test.
- Both tests are conducted at NIOT, Chennai, and candidates must arrange their own transport and stay.

- Experience certificates (if applicable) clearly stating relevant skills.

- No Objection Certificate (NOC) from current employer if employed in Government/Autonomous Bodies/PSUs.
