Senior Project Associate

Establishment and augmentation of BSL3 facilities at NII for research and diagnostics of bacterial and viral pathogens.
Handling bacterial and viral pathogens, mammalian and bacterial cell culture, and laboratory animals in BSL-3 and ABSL-3 environments.
Conducting experiments for external users (SAHAJ project) in high-containment biosafety laboratories.
Assisting with additional tasks and protocols as assigned by the Facility In-Charge.
Project tenure: Till April 27, 2030 (contract-based, renewable annually).

Master’s degree (M.Sc) in any branch of Life Sciences with four years of R&D experience.
OR PhD in any branch of Life Sciences.
Prior experience in Biosafety Level 3 (BSL-3) and/or Animal Biosafety Level 3 (ABSL-3) laboratories is desirable.
Hands-on experience with bacterial and viral pathogens, mammalian and bacterial cell culture, molecular biology techniques, flow cytometry, and immunological assays is preferred.

Final selection will be based on performance in the interview and verification of documents.
No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
