Walk-in-interview for a project-funded position under ANRF to study mitochondrial surface-associated degradation in pathogenically misfolded proteins and its role in cytosolic proteostasis during neurodegenerative diseases.
The project is a multi-institutional collaboration between CSIR-IGIB and Shiv Nadar Institute of Eminence.
The role involves extensive molecular genetics analysis, fluorescence and confocal microscopy, generation of transgenic lines, mitochondrial isolation, proteomics, and metabolomics using C. elegans as a model system.
Position is available for a duration of 6 months with potential for extension based on performance and project requirements.
🎓 Eligibility Criteria
For Research Associate-I (RA-I): PhD in any branch of Biological Science with adequate training in molecular genetics.
For Senior Research Fellow (SRF): M.Sc. or M.Tech. in any area of Life Sciences with a minimum of 2 years of research experience in molecular genetics in laboratory settings.
Candidates must have cleared a National Level Eligibility Test such as NET/GATE or equivalent.
Preference will be given to candidates with skills in C. elegans genetics, cell biology, mitochondrial biology, proteomics, metabolomics, and cell culture.
Strong academic record and research publications in relevant fields will be advantageous.
