- NIAB is an autonomous institute under the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India, focused on animal biotechnology, genetics, genomics, and translational research for livestock improvement.
- Research areas include animal genetics, transgenic technology, reproductive technology, disease research, nutritional enrichment, and bioinformatics.
- Selected candidates will contribute to projects addressing livestock infertility, reproductive technologies (AI, IVF, ICSI, OPU, ET), and animal nutrition.
- Positions are initially on probation for two years, with continuation subject to performance evaluation.
🎓 Eligibility Criteria
- For Scientist-B: M.V.Sc/M.Sc/M.Tech or equivalent degree with outstanding academic record and 3 years of R&D experience in NIAB thrust areas (e.g., animal nutrition, gene editing, veterinary gynaecology).
- For Farm Manager: Graduation in Animal Husbandry/Horticulture or Masters in Life Sciences with minimum 50% marks. Desirable: Experience in handling livestock herds and farm upkeep in research organizations or reputed farms.
- Age limit: 35 years for Scientist-B, 30 years for Farm Manager (as of closing date).
- Candidates from Government/Semi-Government/Autonomous Bodies/PSUs must submit NOC, Vigilance Certificate, and Integrity Certificate.
