Lead Consultant – Gender and PNDT

- Lead the formulation and design of national programs addressing declining child sex ratio, PNDT Act implementation, and gender issues in collaboration with state counterparts, NGOs, and partners.
- Analyze political, social, legal, economic, and administrative environments to identify opportunities for interventions in gender and PNDT-related programs.
- Develop policy briefs, strategic inputs, and training materials to support advocacy and capacity-building efforts for stakeholders including ASHAs, ANMs, and medical officers.
- Monitor and evaluate the implementation of PNDT Act at state and district levels, providing guidance to authorities for effective enforcement.
- Conduct field visits, analyze reports, and formulate strategies to address gaps in program execution and service delivery.
- Facilitate knowledge management by documenting best practices, success stories, and lessons learned for scaling up interventions.
- Assist in the development of communication tools and IEC strategies to raise awareness among the public, law enforcers, and medical fraternity.

- Postgraduate degree in Women/Gender Studies or related social sciences with strong technical knowledge of gender issues.
- Minimum 10-15 years of experience in implementing gender-related programs, including 7 years at the policy level in monitoring PC&PNDT Act implementation at the national level.
- Technical expertise and field experience in public health programs under NHM, particularly PNDT, sex selection, family planning, reproductive health, and maternal/newborn health.
- Familiarity with the public health system, key stakeholders, and government policies, especially the National Health Mission (NHM) and State Health Societies.
- Strong analytical, program management, and supervisory skills with proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills with proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and web-based data search.
- Fluency in English (written and oral) with working knowledge of Hindi preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work in multidisciplinary team environments.
