Deputy Chief Mechanical Engineer Recruitment 2026

- Mormugao Port Authority invites applications for 1 vacancy of Deputy Chief Mechanical Engineer under the Engineering Mechanical Department.
- The recruitment is conducted through the composite method for eligible officers from Major Port Authorities.
- The selected candidate will be appointed on a revised pay scale of ₹80,000–2,20,000 (pre-revised: ₹32,900–58,000 / ₹16,000–20,800).
- The job location is Headland, Sada, Goa.

- Educational Qualification: Degree or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics & Communication Engineering from a recognized university or institution.
- Experience: 12 years of executive cadre experience in the relevant discipline in an industrial, commercial, or government undertaking.
- Age Limit: Maximum age of 42 years as on 01 March 2027. The age limit does not apply for promotion or absorption.
- Eligibility for Absorption (Composite Method) for officers from Major Port Trusts/Authorities with one of the following criteria:
- Holding analogous posts in the pay scale of ₹16,000–20,800 in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Department.
- Superintending Engineer or equivalent posts in the pay scale of ₹13,000–18,250 with 3 years of regular service in the grade.
- Superintending Engineer or equivalent posts in the pay scale of ₹10,750–16,750 and ₹13,000–18,250 with 2 years of regular service in the grade and 7 years of combined service in the respective discipline.
- Eligibility for Deputation: Officers holding analogous posts or Superintending Engineer posts in the pay scale of ₹13,000–18,250 with 3 years of regular service in Government, PSUs, or Autonomous bodies.
- ACR/APAR Benchmark: Overall grading in ACRs/APARs for the preceding five years (2021–22 to 2025–26) must not be below ‘Very Good’.

- Selection is made on merit through the composite method by the Services Selection Committee.
- The Services Selection Committee evaluates candidates based on their ACRs/APARs and other prescribed criteria.
