- Diploma in Engineering with 3 years of drafting experience in the relevant field; OR
- ITI with 5 years of drafting experience in the relevant field; OR
- 12th/Intermediate pass with 7 years of drafting experience in the relevant field.
- Minimum 45% aggregate marks in the requisite educational qualification (44.99% will not be rounded up).

- Diploma/ITI must be from a recognized University/Institute (UGC/AICTE/MCI/ICAI/ICSI accredited).
- Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply.
- Work experience must be relevant and from a drafting/engineering organization (freelance/entrepreneurial experience not considered).
- Apprenticeship under the Apprentices Act is considered valid experience.

- Selection is based on a Personal Interview and a Hands-on test to evaluate technical drafting skills.

- The provisional shortlist, along with interview date, time, and venue, will be uploaded on MECON's official website and communicated via registered email.
