- B.Ed. degree with minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade.
- Qualification of National Eligibility Test (NET) or State Level Eligibility Test (SLET/SET) or Ph.D. in Education or the concerned subject as prescribed by UGC.
- For Educational Studies:
- Postgraduate degree in Education (M.Ed.) with minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade.
- Qualification of NET or SLET/SET or Ph.D. in Education or any other UGC-prescribed qualification.
- Knowledge of Urdu:
- Must have studied Urdu at X Std., +2/Intermediate, UG, or PG level, or from Urdu medium schools/Madarsas, or as a subject in recognized boards.
- Desirable qualifications:
