Recruitment of Assistant Engineers in 'E2' Grade of Management Cadre through GATE 2026

- Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL), a subsidiary of ONGC Limited, is recruiting Assistant Engineers in 'E2' Grade for its refinery and petrochemical complex in Mangaluru, Karnataka.
- The recruitment is open for Mechanical, Electrical, and Chemical Engineering disciplines.
- Selected candidates will be placed on a training cum probation period and may be posted in shifts, including night shifts.
- Employees may be transferred to any location in India or abroad within MRPL or ONGC group companies as per organizational requirements.

- Candidates must be Indian nationals only.
- Valid GATE 2026 marks in the relevant discipline are mandatory (Mechanical Engineering for Mechanical posts, Electrical Engineering for Electrical posts, and Chemical Engineering for Chemical posts).
- Educational qualification: BE/B.Tech/B.Sc. Engineering (4-year course) in the relevant discipline from a UGC-recognized Indian University, UGC-recognized Deemed University, AICTE-approved Autonomous Institution, or Statutory Council.
- Minimum aggregate marks: 60% for UR/EWS/OBC(NCL) candidates and 50% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates in the essential qualification.
- Integrated ME/M.Tech candidates are eligible if they have completed the BE/B.Tech/B.Sc. Engineering component with the required marks.
- Candidates with degrees in Production Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Mechatronics, or Construction Engineering are not eligible.

- Selection is based on valid GATE 2026 marks followed by Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI).
- Initial shortlisting for GD and PI is done in a 1:5 ratio (1 post: 5 candidates) based on GATE 2026 marks.
- In case of tie in GATE marks, higher marks in the essential qualification will be considered.
- Final merit list is prepared as per MRPL's prevailing rules.

- No Objection Certificate (NOC) from current employer (if employed in Central/State Government/Public Sector Enterprises/Autonomous bodies).

- General, OBC(NCL), and EWS category candidates: Rs. 118/- (Rs. 100 application fee + Rs. 18 GST).
- SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-Serviceman candidates: Exempted from payment of application fee.
