- Stage 2: Main Examination with 3 papers: Language Knowledge (qualifying), Regional/Tribal Language (choice-based), and General Knowledge (General Studies, Jharkhand State Knowledge, General Science, General Mathematics, Mental Ability Test, and Computer Knowledge).
- Minimum qualifying marks: 40% for General/EWS, 32% for SC/ST/Female, 34% for EBC, 36.5% for BC-II, and 30% for Primitive Tribes.
- Final merit list based on Main Exam (Paper 2 and Paper 3) marks; tie-breaker: older candidate ranked higher, then alphabetical order of name.

- Local Resident Certificate of Jharkhand (Appendix VIII or IX) issued on or after 02 June 2016.
- PwBD Disability Certificate (Appendix X) from State Government-constituted Medical Board (minimum 40% disability).
- Scribe Request Certificate (Appendix XI) for PwBD candidates requiring assistance.
- Sports Certificate for Sports Quota candidates (as per resolution No. 1709 dated 12 September 2007).

- General/EWS candidates: ₹100.
- SC/ST candidates of Jharkhand: ₹50.
- PwBD candidates of Jharkhand with 40% or above disability: Nil (full exemption).
- Fee is non-refundable once paid.
- Candidates from categories other than Jharkhand SC/ST attempting to claim concessional fee will have applications cancelled.
