Project Technician II Vacancy

- JIPMER invites applications for a Project Technician II role under a research project funded by ICMR.
- The position is contract-based with a likely duration of 6 months and is part of the project titled Enhancing Infectious Disease Diagnosis Quality: External Quality Assurance Program.
- The selected candidate will work under Dr. Rahul Dhodapkar in the Department of Microbiology at JIPMER.
- Responsibilities include planning, designing, and conducting an External Quality Assurance (EQA) program, including sample bank preparation, EQA sample characterization, EQA panel preparation and validation, distribution, data collection, result analysis, report writing, and manuscript preparation. Additional tasks include training subordinates.

- Essential Qualification: Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Medical Laboratory Technology from a recognized university.
- Desirable Experience: One-year work experience in molecular techniques, particularly in handling clinical samples and ELISA.
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of computer applications is desirable.
- Age Limit: Maximum age of 28 years as of the last date of receipt of applications (23.10.2026). Age relaxation applicable as per Government of India (GOI) instructions.

- Eligible candidates will receive an email notification regarding an online screening test.
- Shortlisted candidates will be called for a written test (80 marks, no negative marking, B.Sc. level) and an interview (20 marks).
- The written test will cover areas relevant to the project, including EQA program design and execution.
- The final selection will be based on the written test, interview, CV, and application form.
