- Age Limit: Minimum 18 years, maximum 30 years as of 01.10.2026. Relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC-Non-Creamy Layer.
- Graduate Apprentices: Must hold a Graduate or equivalent degree in relevant Engineering/Technology streams or full-time degrees like BBA, B.Com, BA (Hindi), BSW, LLB, B.Sc./BCA/B.E/B.Tech in Computer Science/IT.
- Technician (Diploma) Apprentices: Must hold a Diploma or equivalent in relevant Engineering/Technology streams.
- Candidates must not have completed more than 3 years after passing their qualifying examination as of 01.10.2026.
- Candidates with result awaited, supplementary, or back papers need not apply.
- Candidates who have undergone apprenticeship training in IRCON or any other organization need not apply.
- Candidates with one year or more of training/job experience after education are ineligible.
