- Qualification: Master’s degree in Soil Science (Agriculture faculty) with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade 6.50 on a 10.00 scale with a good academic record).
- Additional Requirement: Must hold either NET (National Eligibility Test) or Ph.D.
- NET Exemption: Ph.D. degree holders with coursework as per UGC Regulations 2009 and at least two full-length publications with a NAAS rating of not less than 4 are exempt from NET.
