Recruitment of Scientist/Engineer 'SC' (Group A) in Electronics, Mechanical, and Computer Science

- Recruitment for Scientist/Engineer 'SC' (Group A) posts in Level 10 of Pay Matrix under the Department of Space, Government of India.
- Positions are available at ISRO Centres/Units and Autonomous Body (PRL) for Electronics, Mechanical, and Computer Science disciplines.
- Selected candidates will be responsible for designing and building launch vehicles, communication/remote sensing satellites, and conducting research in space applications, science, and technology.
- Posts are temporary but likely to continue.
- Selected candidates may be posted or transferred to any ISRO Centre/Unit across India at any time.

- Applicants must be Indian nationals.
- Educational qualification: BE/B.Tech or equivalent degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Science Engineering with a minimum of 65% marks or CGPA 6.84/10.
- For dual/integrated degree programs, the CGPA/percentage for the graduation level will be considered.
- Graduation must be completed within the stipulated duration prescribed by the university.
- Age limit: 28 years as on 16-09-2026. Age relaxation applicable for reserved categories as per Government of India orders.

- Selection will be based on a Written Test/CBT and Interview.
- Written Test/CBT will be conducted in 37 cities across India, including Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Mumbai, and others.
- Written Test/CBT consists of two parts: Part A (Discipline-specific, 80 MCQs, 90 minutes) and Part B (Aptitude/Ability Tests, 15 MCQs, 30 minutes).
- Negative marking: -1/3 for each wrong answer in Part A. No negative marking in Part B.
- Candidates will be shortlisted for Interview in a 1:5 ratio based on Written Test performance.
- Final selection will be based on aggregate marks from Written Test (50% weightage) and Interview (50% weightage).
- Minimum qualifying criteria: 50% marks in Written Test for unreserved candidates and 40% for PwBD candidates.
- In case of tie, merit will be decided based on Written Test marks, essential qualification marks, and date of birth (older candidates preferred).

- Recent passport-sized color photograph (not older than 3 months) in .jpg/.jpeg format (100-200 KB).
- Signature in .jpg/.jpeg format (80-150 KB).
- SC/ST/Disability/Ex-servicemen certificate (if applicable) for full refund of processing fee.
- Original documents for verification at the time of Interview (qualification, age, category, NOC from employer, etc.).
- PwBD candidates must submit a self-attested Disability Certificate issued by a Medical Board constituted by Central/State Government.

- Application fee: ₹250 (non-refundable) for all posts.
- Initially, all candidates must pay ₹750 as processing fee.
- Processing fee refund: Full refund for exempted candidates (women, SC/ST, PwBD, Ex-servicemen). For others, ₹500 will be refunded after deducting ₹250.
- Payment must be made online via Bharatkosh e-Payment gateway using Internet Banking, UPI, or Debit Cards.
- No other mode of payment (cash, cheque, demand draft, etc.) is accepted.
