- Development of a scalable high-resolution emission estimation framework using UAV-based sensing, satellite measurements, and modeling approaches for MSW landfills.
- Mapping and estimating methane emissions over landfills and dumpsites using UAV-based CH4 and thermal sensors, EMIT and TROPOMI satellite sensors, and IPCC and LandCEM models.
- Assessment of landfill gas-to-energy potential, life cycle assessment, and co-benefits.
- Contribution to field data collection, report writing, and research publications.
🎓 Eligibility Criteria
- M.Sc./M.Tech./B.Tech./B.E. in Civil Engineering, Remote Sensing & GIS, Environmental Engineering, Atmospheric Science, or equivalent.
- Preference will be given to candidates with education from CFTIs (Centrally Funded Technical Institutions).
- Candidates with a valid GATE score, experience in satellite remote sensing, UAV flying and processing, inverse modeling for emission inventories, air quality research, and programming will be preferred.
