Design and development of Silicon Photonic Chip-based N × N Photonic Switches for 6G and beyond applications.
Responsibilities include simulation (FDTD/INTERCONNECT), layout preparation (PDK/KLayout), and device/system-level characterization.
Opportunity to apply for a PhD position in the Department of Electronics Engineering, IIT (ISM) Dhanbad, subject to institute guidelines.
Project tenure: Initial appointment for 1 year, renewable up to 2 years or project completion, whichever is earlier.
🎓 Eligibility Criteria
First Class or First Division with minimum 60% marks or equivalent CGPA in M.Tech./M.E./MS in Electronics/Electronics & Communication/Electronics & Telecommunication or related field.
OR B.Tech/B.E. or equivalent degree in Electronics/Electronics & Communication/Electronics & Telecommunication with minimum 60% marks or equivalent CGPA.
OR M.Sc in Electronics or M.Sc in Physics (Specialization in Electronics/Photonics) with minimum 60% marks or equivalent CGPA.
Must have qualified GATE/NET examination.
Basic knowledge of Photonics Integrated Circuits, Silicon Photonics, Communication Systems, Microelectronics, Optoelectronics, Nanotechnology, Optical Communication, VLSI, or Physics is desirable.
Proficiency in ANSYS Lumerical and MATLAB is desirable.
