- First Class in BE/B.Tech. and M.Tech. in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 60% marks or 6.0 CPI (10-point scale).
- GATE qualification is mandatory OR M.Tech./M.E./M.S./Master's degree with CGPA/CPI 7.0 or above (10-point scale) from Indian [IITs/NITs/CFTIs/State or Central funded universities/Top NIRF 100 (Overall or Engineering category)] or Foreign (QS Ranking) Institutions/Universities may be exempted from GATE requirement.
- Desirable: M.Tech. in Geotechnical Engineering & Transportation Engineering.
- Desirable: M.Tech. Project/Dissertation in Dynamic Properties of Soil & Pavement materials (preferably on waste and locally available materials).
- Desirable: Research experience and hands-on expertise in geotechnical and transportation engineering laboratory equipment and software.
- Desirable: Good management, communication, and writing skills.
