Research Associate - Centre for Development Policy and Management (CDPM)

- Research Associate position under the Centre for Development Policy and Management (CDPM) at IIM Udaipur to evaluate CSR interventions in public schools in Rajasthan.
- Project focuses on identifying bottlenecks in CSR-funded educational interventions and enhancing operational strategies in government schools.
- Total CSR spending on education in Rajasthan between 2019-2024: ₹1,510 crore, with critical gaps in foundational learning outcomes and infrastructure.
- Role involves extensive fieldwork, stakeholder engagement, and data collection across Rajasthan, including Udaipur and Jaipur.
- Opportunity to contribute to high-impact research, policy recommendations, and case studies in collaboration with IIM Udaipur faculty.

- Bachelor’s degree or higher in social sciences (preferably Education, Sociology, Anthropology, Development Studies, Public Policy, Economics, or related fields).
- Prior experience in qualitative fieldwork, including conducting interviews, focus group discussions (FGDs), or ethnographic observations, is required.
- Proficiency in Hindi is essential for fieldwork, including translation and transcription of interview data.
- Experience working with government schools or NGOs in Rajasthan is an advantage.
- Prior work in education research, CSR evaluation, or social sector studies is desirable.
