- The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), a premier B-School under the Department of Commerce, Government of India, is inviting applications for the engagement of a Legal Officer on a contract basis.
- The role involves developing and implementing legal compliance systems, handling court matters, ensuring RTI and statutory compliance, and providing legal advice on institutional issues.
- The Legal Officer will liaise with external advocates, support committees like the ICC and Grievances Committee, and vet MoUs and agreements.
- The position is based at the IIFT New Delhi Campus and offers a contract-based engagement with potential for extension up to four years.

🎓 Eligibility Criteria

- Qualification: LLB Degree with Post-Graduation (55% marks or equivalent CGPA).
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in handling legal matters in Government Organizations, PSUs, Central/State Government Offices, Autonomous Bodies, Universities, or Educational Institutions.
- Specialized Experience: Extensive experience in Service Laws, Labour Laws & Codes, Land Laws, Legal Drafting, and Liaison with Government Offices is mandatory.
- Language Skills: Excellent command over English; proficiency in Hindi is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Working knowledge of computer applications and packages required.
