Short Service Commission (JAG) Entry Scheme 125th Course 2027 for Law Graduates

- Recruitment for Short Service Commission (JAG) in the Judge Advocate General Branch of the Indian Army.
- Training commences in April 2027 at Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennai.
- 10 combined vacancies for unmarried male and female law graduates.
- Mandatory CLAT PG 2026 score required for eligibility.

- Must be a citizen of India, or a subject of Nepal, or a person of Indian origin migrated from specified countries with intent to settle permanently in India (certificate of eligibility required for non-Nepalese candidates).
- Must be unmarried (male or female) at the time of application and remain unmarried until completion of training.
- Minimum 55% aggregate marks in LLB degree (3-year course after graduation or 5-year integrated course after 10+2).
- Must be eligible for registration as an advocate with the Bar Council of India/State.
- LLB degree must be from a college/university recognized by the Bar Council of India.
- CLAT PG 2026 score (conducted in December 2025) is mandatory; no other CLAT PG score will be accepted.
- Must verify CLAT PG 2026 result at the Selection Centre before SSB; failure to do so makes the candidate ineligible.
- Date of birth must be between 02 January 2000 and 01 January 2006 (inclusive).

- Online application submission and shortlisting based on CLAT PG 2026 score and vacancy-to-call-up ratio.
- Selection of SSB Centre and date on a first-come-first-served basis (cannot be changed by the candidate).
- Two-stage SSB interview at designated centres (Prayagraj, Bhopal, Bengaluru, or Jalandhar) lasting up to five days.
- Candidates failing Stage-I are sent back the same day.
- Medical examination for candidates recommended after Stage-II.
- Merit list preparation based on SSB marks.
- Joining letter for pre-commission training at OTA, Chennai, subject to eligibility and vacancy availability.
- Final selection depends on merit list and availability of vacancies.

All categories (General, OBC, SC, ST, EWS) are eligible as per government norms.

- Matriculation/Secondary School Examination Certificate and mark sheet.
- 12th Class Certificate and Mark Sheet.
- Graduation Degree/Provisional Degree (for 3-year LLB after graduation).
- LLB Degree/Provisional Degree from a recognized university.
- Mark sheets of all years/semesters.
- Registration with Bar Council of India/State or certificate confirming LLB course recognition by the Bar Council of India.
- University certificate on CGPA-to-percentage conversion formula (if applicable).
- CLAT PG 2026 Score Card (conducted in December 2025).
- All original documents must be carried for verification at SSB; originals are returned after verification.
