- For engineering roles, degrees in Chemical/Mechanical/Electrical/Instrumentation/Computer Science/IT are required as per the post.
- For IT roles (SAP FICO/MM/SD), candidates must have relevant SAP module expertise and certifications (preferred).
- For HR roles, MBA/MSW/Integrated 5-year MBA or PG Diploma in HRM/Personnel Management/Industrial Relations with 60% marks is required.
- For marketing roles, B.Sc. (Agri) with M.Sc. in Agriculture or B.Tech with MBA/PGDBM in Marketing/Agribusiness Marketing/Rural Management is required.
- For medical roles (FTC), MBBS degree with a 3-month certificate in Industrial Health (DG FASLI approved) or diploma in Industrial Health is required.
- Work experience must be post-qualification and relevant to the industry (fertilizer/petrochemical/refinery/power plant).
- Teaching, part-time jobs, internships, and apprenticeships are not counted as work experience.
- Candidates working in PSUs/Govt. organizations must submit NOC from their current employer at the time of interview.
- For internal HURL employees, 2 years of service in the immediate next lower position is mandatory to apply for higher grades.

- Selection for executive and non-executive roles will be based on written tests, group discussions, interviews, or skill tests as deemed fit by HURL.
- For non-executive roles, selection will be through trade/skill/written tests or other suitable modes.
- Shortlisted candidates will be called for interviews based on merit and eligibility criteria.
- HURL reserves the right to raise minimum eligibility standards or cancel the recruitment process at any stage.
- Final selection is subject to medical fitness as per HURL's standards.
