HPPSC HPAS Recruitment 2026 for Tehsildar, BDO, and Other Posts

- Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC) has announced 22 vacancies for H.P. Administrative Service and other posts under the HPPSC HPAS Recruitment 2026.
- Posts include H.P. Administrative Services (4), Block Development Officer (10), District Controller (1), District Treasury Officer (1), and Tehsildar (6).
- The recruitment is for the H.P. Administrative Service Combined Competitive Examination-2026.
- Selected candidates will be posted in various departments of the Government of Himachal Pradesh.

- Candidates must be Indian citizens.
- Must possess a bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification from a recognized university.
- Candidates awaiting final results may apply subject to conditions specified in the official notification.
- Candidates who have passed MBBS or equivalent but not completed internship may apply provisionally.
- Age limit: 21 to 35 years as on 01-01-2026.
- Upper age limit relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST/OBC/Persons with Disabilities/Children and Grandchildren of Freedom Fighters of Himachal Pradesh.
- Government servants of HP are eligible up to 45 years for HPAS and other posts (Tehsildar, Block Development Officer, Treasury Officer).

- Selection involves three stages: Preliminary Examination, Main Examination, and Personality Test (Interview).
- Preliminary Examination: Two objective-type papers (General Studies and Aptitude Test), each of 200 marks. This is a qualifying/screening stage only.
- Main Examination: Includes compulsory papers (English, Hindi, Essay, General Studies I, II, III) and two papers of one optional subject. Candidates must secure at least 40% in Hindi and English papers and 45% aggregate (excluding Hindi and English) to qualify.
- Personality Test: Candidates qualifying the Main Examination are called for an interview to assess overall suitability.
- Final merit is based on marks obtained in the Main Examination (excluding Hindi and English) and the Personality Test.

- Matriculation certificate for age proof.
- Bachelor's degree certificate along with mark sheets of all years or consolidated mark sheet.
- Valid category certificate(s) for SC, ST, OBC, EWS, Ex-Servicemen, Ward of Ex-Servicemen, WFF, Persons with Disabilities, where applicable.
- Bonafide Himachali Certificate for reserved category candidates.
- Valid EWS/BPL Certificate, where applicable.
- Ex-Servicemen Discharge Certificate/Service Book, where applicable.

- Uniform examination fee of Rs. 600 for all candidates, irrespective of category.
- Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstance.
- Payment can be made online via Debit Card, Credit Card, UPI, or any other prescribed online digital mode.
