HP Police Constable (Male & Female) Recruitment 2026

- Recruitment drive for 734 Constable posts in Himachal Pradesh Police Department (491 for Male, 243 for Female).
- Applications open from 10th July 2026 to 6th August 2026 via HPPSC's Online Recruitment Application (ORA) portal.
- Pay scale: Level 3 (Rs. 20,200–64,000) as per 7th Pay Commission.
- Selection involves Physical Tests, Written Exam, Document Verification, and Medical Examination.
- NCC certificate holders receive additional marks in the selection process.

- Candidates must have passed Matriculation (+2) from an institution within Himachal Pradesh. Bonafide Himachalis exempted from this condition.
- Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) are not eligible for this recruitment.
- Age limit as of 01-01-2026: 18–25 years (General/EWS), 18–27 years (SC/ST/OBC/Ex-SM/Gorkhas), 20–28 years (Home Guards).
- Physical standards: Minimum height 5'6" (Male), 5'2" (Female); chest expansion 31"×32" (Male).

- Stage 1: Physical Standard Test (PST) – Height and chest measurements.
- Stage 2: Physical Efficiency Test (PET) – Race, high jump, and broad jump qualifying tests.
- Stage 3: Written Examination – 90-mark objective test with negative marking.
- Stage 4: Document Verification – Verification of certificates and eligibility.
- Stage 5: Medical Examination – Conducted by the Police Department post-selection.

General, EWS, OBC, SC, ST, WFF, Home Guards, and Ward of Ex-SM.

- Matriculation and +2 certificates.
- NCC certificate (if applicable).
- Category certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS/WFF/Ward of Ex-SM, as applicable).
- Bonafide Himachali certificate (if education completed outside Himachal Pradesh).
- EWS/BPL certificate (if claiming reservation).
- Home Guard service certificate (for Home Guard candidates).

- Application fee: Rs. 600/- for all categories.
- Fee is non-refundable and must be paid online via Debit Card, Credit Card, UPI, or other digital modes.
