- For Personal Assistant/Judgment Writer (Group-B) (Mode-C): Current Stenographers in High Court or Junior Scale Stenographers with at least 5 years of service in High Court.
- For Personal Assistant/Judgment Writer (Group-B) (Mode-D): Senior Scale Stenographers in District Judiciary of Himachal Pradesh with at least 5 years of experience.
- For Stenographer (Group-C) (Mode-B): Junior Scale Stenographers in High Court or District Judiciary with 1 year (High Court) or 3 years (District Judiciary) of experience.
- For Personal Assistant/Judgment Writer (Group-B) (Mode-C): Current Stenographers in High Court or Junior Scale Stenographers with at least 5 years of service in High Court.
