Group B Non-Teaching Posts (Assistant, Junior Engineer, Private Secretary & More)

- Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University (HNBGU), a Central University located in Srinagar Garhwal, Uttarakhand, invites online applications for 27 Group 'B' Non-Teaching posts across 12 categories.
- Posts include Assistant, Private Secretary, Personal Assistant, Senior Technical Assistant (Auto CAD/HAPPRC/ICT), Junior Engineer (Civil/Electrical), Assistant Engineer (Civil), Horticulturist, Assistant Information & Public Relation Officer, and Sports Coach.
- Applications must be submitted online via the SAMARTH portal (hnbgunt.samarth.edu.in) between 17 August 2026 and 16 September 2026 (6:00 PM).
- No hard copies of applications or documents are to be sent to the University.
- Selected candidates may be posted anywhere under the jurisdiction of HNBGU, Srinagar Garhwal.

- For Assistant (12 posts): Bachelor's degree with 3 years' experience as UDC (Level 4) or 8 years as LDC (Level 2) in Central/State Govt./University/PSU/autonomous body, plus working knowledge of computer applications.
- For Private Secretary (1 post): Bachelor's degree with 3 years' experience as Personal Assistant, stenography speed of 120 wpm (English) or 100 wpm (Hindi), typing speed of 35 wpm (English) or 30 wpm (Hindi), and computer knowledge.
- For Personal Assistant (1 post): Bachelor's degree with stenography proficiency (100 wpm English/100 wpm Hindi) and typing speed (35/30 wpm), plus 2 years' experience as Stenographer in a Central/State Govt. organization or reputed private institution.
- For Senior Technical Assistant (Auto CAD/HAPPRC/ICT): Relevant educational qualifications (B.Tech./M.Sc./MCA/B.E.) with specified experience in Auto CAD, biotechnology, or ICT.
- For Junior Engineer (Civil/Electrical): Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 1 year's experience or Diploma in Engineering with 3 years' experience in CPWD/State PWD/University/PSU/reputed private organization.
- For Assistant Engineer (Civil): First Class Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with 3 years' experience as Junior Engineer in State Govt. PWD/University/PSU/reputed private organization.
- For Horticulturist: M.Sc. Agriculture (Horticulture) or M.Sc. Horticulture with 3 years' experience in gardening/floriculture/landscape gardening, or B.Sc. Agriculture (Horticulture elective) with 5 years' equivalent experience.
- For Assistant Information & Public Relation Officer: Master's degree in Journalism and Mass Communication (55% marks) or Master's degree in any discipline with PG Diploma in Journalism and Mass Communication, plus 3 years' experience in media/editorial roles.
- For Sports Coach: Master's degree in Physical Education with a Diploma in Coaching from NIS or equivalent, plus 2 years' coaching experience at national/international level.

- Applications are scrutinized by a Screening Committee to prepare a list of eligible candidates.
- No interview will be conducted for any of the 12 posts, as per MHRD guidelines for Group B/C posts with Grade Pay ≤ ₹4,600.
- The University reserves the right to conduct a written test/skill test for any post if deemed necessary.
- For Private Secretary and Personal Assistant posts, a computer-based skill test in stenography and typing will be conducted as per eligibility norms.
- A reserve panel/waiting list may be drawn up, valid for one year from the selection committee's decision.

- Educational qualification certificates and mark sheets (self-attested, digitally verifiable).
- Experience certificates supporting claimed years of relevant experience (self-attested).
- Category certificate (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS/PwBD) issued on or after 01.04.2026 (if claiming reservation).
- No Objection Certificate (NOC) from current employer (if already in service).
- Form-16 (if applying with experience from a non-government organization).
- CR dossier (last 5 years, duly certified) with employer's forwarding (if applying on deputation basis).
- Reprints of important publications (if applicable to the post).
- Self-attested English/Hindi translation of any certificate not originally in English or Hindi.

- ₹1,000 for UR/OBC-NCL/EWS candidates.
- ₹500 for SC/ST/PwBD/Women applicants.
- Fee is non-refundable and must be paid online via credit/debit card, Net Banking, or UPI.
- Separate fee payment is required for each post applied for.
