- Educational qualification: Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSC) or equivalent, along with a minimum one-year Health Sanitary Inspector's Diploma or ITI certificate from a Government-recognized institute.
- Basic computer application knowledge as prescribed under Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967.
- Adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi, or both.
- Must be a citizen of India or possess nationality as per Rule-7 of the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967.
