- For Civil Assistant Surgeon Specialists: Must possess a PG Degree/DNB/Diploma in the relevant specialty or equivalent, registered with the Andhra Pradesh Medical Council.
- For Civil Assistant Surgeon (General): Must possess an MBBS degree or equivalent, registered with the Andhra Pradesh Medical Council.
- Age limit as of 01.07.2026: 42 years for OC candidates, 47 years for EWS/SC/ST/BC candidates, and 52 years for differently-abled persons.
- Ex-servicemen may deduct 3 years from their age in addition to their armed forces service length.
- Both local and non-local candidates are eligible as per G.O.Ms.No.45 GA (SPF&MC) Dept., dt.20.04.2026.
- For Civil Assistant Surgeon (General): Must possess an MBBS degree or equivalent, registered with the Andhra Pradesh Medical Council.
