Contract Recruitment for Faculty and Civil Assistant Surgeon Posts

- Contract recruitment for the posts of Associate Professor, Assistant Professor, Tutor, and Civil Assistant Surgeon (CAS) on a temporary basis up to 31.03.2027 or until regular appointments are made, whichever is earlier.
- Selected candidates will be posted in Government Medical Colleges or Government General Hospitals under the Director of Medical Education, Telangana State.
- The appointment is purely temporary and does not confer any right to future government employment.
- Candidates must join duties within one week of selection.
- Selected candidates will be eligible for 15 days of leave per calendar year on a cumulative basis.

- For Associate Professor: MD/MS/DNB in the concerned subject with 5 years of post-PG teaching experience (including 4 years as Assistant Professor) and at least 2 research publications in indexed journals. Must have completed basic courses in Medical Education Technology and Biomedical Research as per NMC guidelines.
- For Assistant Professor: MD/MS/DNB in the concerned subject with 1 year of Senior Resident experience in a recognized medical college.
- For Tutor: MBBS or equivalent qualification recognized by the University of Health Sciences. Foreign degrees require MCI recognition.
- For Civil Assistant Surgeon (CAS): MBBS or equivalent qualification recognized by the University of Health Sciences. Foreign degrees require MCI recognition.
- MBBS registration with the Telangana State Medical Council is mandatory for all posts.
- Age limit: Below 69 years as on 31.03.2026 for teaching posts. Below 45 years as on 31.03.2026 for non-teaching posts (CAS).
- Candidates already working on contract in Telangana Government Medical Colleges in the same cadre are ineligible.
- Retired teaching faculty of Government of Telangana or other government bodies are ineligible for contract appointments.

- Selection will be based on merit, duration of teaching experience, and interview.
- For Associate Professor: Teaching experience duration will be the primary selection criterion.
- For Assistant Professor: Marks obtained in MD/MS/DNB PG degree will be considered. If marks are not awarded, 50% of the maximum marks will be considered.
- For Tutor and CAS: Marks obtained in MBBS degree will be considered. If marks are not awarded, 50% of the maximum marks will be considered.
- Local candidature preference will be given for Assistant Professors and CAS posts. If local candidates are unavailable, candidates from other states will be considered.
- Rule of reservation will be followed as per Telangana State Government norms.

- SSC Certificate or Birth Certificate (Proof of Age).
- Study/Bonafide Certificate from Class 1 to Class 7 (for local candidature).
- MBBS Degree Certificate.
- MD/MS/DNB/DM/MCH Degree Certificate and Marks Memo (if applicable).
- MBBS Registration Certificate with Telangana State Medical Council.
- Additional registration with Telangana State Medical Council (for outside-state candidates, registration must be obtained within one week of selection).
- Experience Certificates for all teaching appointments held.
- Recent Passport-size color photograph.
- Aadhar Card.
- PAN Card.
- Copies of publications with proof of indexation (for Associate Professor and Assistant Professor posts).
- Community Certificate/EWS/PH Certificate (if applicable).
- Self-declaration stating no criminal cases are pending.
- Relieving order from the previous institute (if applicable).

- Application fee of ₹500 (non-refundable) per application, payable via Demand Draft in favor of Principal, Government Medical College, Nalgonda.
