Chairman & Managing Director Vacancy

- GRSE has announced a recruitment drive for the post of Chairman & Managing Director under Notification No. 6/14/2026-PESB.
- The selected candidate will serve as the Chief Executive Officer of GRSE, accountable to the Board of Directors and Government/Shareholders.
- Responsibilities include ensuring the efficient functioning of the company and achieving corporate objectives.
- The post is based in Kolkata, West Bengal, under the Department of Defence Production, Ministry of Defence.
- The appointment is on a contract basis for a tenure of up to five years, subject to superannuation or further orders.

- Educational Qualification: Engineering Graduate, Chartered Accountant, Cost Accountant, or Post Graduate/Graduate with MBA/PGDIM from a recognized institute.
- Desirable Qualification: Post Graduate degree in Naval/Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical/Marine Engineering will be advantageous.
- Experience: At least 5 years cumulative experience/exposure during the last 10 years in Finance, Business Development, Production, Operations, Marketing, Project Management, Ship Design, Shipbuilding, or Ship Repairs in a reputed organization. Experience in Ship Design/Shipbuilding/Ship Repairs is preferred.
- Employment Status: Applicants must be employed in a regular capacity in one of the following:
- Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE), Central Government Group 'A' Officers (including Armed Forces and All India Services), Public Sector Banks/Financial Institutions/Autonomous Bodies, State Public Sector Enterprise (SPSE) with an annual turnover of Rs. 5,000 crore or more, or
- Private Sector Company/Joint Venture (50:50 JVs of Central/State Governments or JVs of CPSEs with other CPSEs/organizations) or National/State-level Cooperative Federations with an annual turnover of Rs. 5,000 crore or more (average audited annual turnover of three preceding financial years).
- Age Limit:
- Minimum Age: 45 years (as on the date of vacancy).
- Maximum Age:
- Internal Candidates: 2 years residual service as on the date of vacancy (superannuation age: 60 years).
- Others: 3 years residual service as on the date of vacancy (superannuation age: 60 years).

- Candidates will be shortlisted for an interview by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB).
- The selection process will follow extant guidelines issued by the Board.
